The rise of cryptocurrency has facilitated a mindset shift in the way we think about money, finance, and transactions. However, despite growing popularity and potential, the industry is still largely misunderstood by the general public.

Scepticism has been driven by reputational damage associated with recent market turmoil that was caused by poorly capitalized, overly- leveraged institutions, and a lack of checks and balances on too few (somewhat authoritarian) individuals’, as well as weaknesses in the traditional banking system as a whole.
